    The series features a different topic and presenter each week. Each presentation takes place from 12:10 to 1 p.m. in the Student Union and is open to the public. Brown Bag Tuesdays are sponsored by the Cochise College Center for Lifelong Learning, formerly the Center for Southwest Studies. The following sessions are scheduled this semester.√ February 26 – "Geronimo and the Archaeology of the Chiricahua Apache" with Dr. Deni Seymour. The nomadic lifestyle of the Chiricahua has limited archaeological study in the past, but Dr. Seymour has used a known Apache campsite - Cañon de los Embudos where C.S. Fly photographed Geronimo’s camp in 1886 - to help identify the complex of features and artifacts of the Chiricahua.   • ( ) Tsunami Family Saved by Schoolgirl's Geography Lesson

    Tilly Smith is now back safely at Danes Hill School in Oxshott, Surrey, England. Last week she told her geography class how the sea slowly rose and started to foam, bubble, and form whirlpools before the big waves came.

    "What Tilly described as happening was exactly the same as I'd shown on a video of a tsunami that hit the Hawaiian islands [in 1946]," said Andrew F. Kearney, Tilly's geography teacher. "She saw the consequences of not acting when something strange happens."

  • ( ) U-God Sues RZA Over Unpain Fees

    This summer, RZA faced criticism from Ghostface and Raekwon regarding the Wu's new album, as well as RZAs business ethics. This week, Wu-Tang member U-God went after RZA's pocket book, as he filed a $170,000 lawsuit.
    The lawsuit is the culmination of what U-God claims to be multiple problems with Wu-Tang Music Group, stretching over the past year. According to the 37 year old emcee, RZA failed to live up an agreement set forth in May 2007. At that time, U-God singed a contract with RZA which laid out payment plans for the Wu-Tang's recently released 8 Diagrams, their Rock The Bells show dates, as well as publishing. He claims that he has yet to receive any payments.
    U-God has spoken out against RZA in the past, in effect echoing the criticisms of Raekwon and Ghostface, also alleging that the Wu-Tang's abbot has displayed favoritism, and caused disruption in the Clan's cohesiveness. More>>
